DR. JOE BRANDENBURG, PHD, LP, NCSP
Joe is a licensed psychologist who has worked with children and adults throughout his training. He has worked with children in and out of schools where he is additionally a nationally certified school psychologist. This allows for Joe to be particularly helpful when navigating challenges with children by considering the difficulties children face at home and how they might impact a child's school functioning and vise versa. Joe also uses a trauma informed approach to all treatments, but additionally has training in trauma focused cognitive behavior therapy for more advanced treatment for coping with life's harder challenges.
Joe cultivates strong therapeutic relationships to fuel his clients’ healing and growth. No matter where people are in life or the challenges they face, Joe has the expertise and passion to support his clients from early childhood to end of life. He also specializes in conducting assessments for children and adults who want to know more about themselves to help guide their mental health journey. Joe primarily uses cognitive behavioral therapy, behavioral principles, dialectical behavior therapy, mindfulness, and Rogerian approaches to help his clients build resilience and move beyond their challenges. His specialties are related to ADHD, trauma, adoption, assessment, and home and school collaboration.
